Understanding "The Secret" and how we can make Universal Energy work for us

Maia Rizzi’s practice is an interface between psychology and spiritual experience. She is a practitioner of the transpersonal psychology perspective, which spans both our human experience and a greater framework beyond it. This greater framework incorporates several spiritual traditions, including past life and regregessive therapy, guided imagery and visualization, Shamanism, consciousness research, therapeutic dream-work chakras and astrology. She holds traditional degrees in Modern Languages, Political Science and Psychology and is a graduate of The Foundation for Shamanic Studies. She is certified in hypnosis and has studied regressive and past life hypnosis therapy with Brian Weiss, as well as Shamanic Soul Retrieval with Sandra Interman, both experts in their field and well-known authors.

In her journey to expand her awareness of the natural world and ultimately to connect with her soul vision she has been on several “vision fasts,” studied with Shamans of Peru and Ecuador (her country of origin) as well as the Philippines and Indonesia. She has practiced wilderness awareness while working with Tom Brown’s Wilderness Survival Tracking School.

Prior to moving to Pensacola, she lived abroad most of her life with her Andean family of origin, as well as with her husband and children. She has taught in American Samoa, Indonesian and Barbados and worked in the field of alcohol and drug addiction in both hospital and psychiatric settings in the US and the Bahamas.

Maia is also a freelance writer and presently contributes articles on the mind-body-spirit connection to various publications all over the United States.

The focus of her practice is on gently assisting her clients in integrating both their spiritual and psychological natures and to realize that their lives are rich with purpose and meaning. By using various techniques, counseling sessions are concentrated on overcoming self-limiting beliefs and accessing one’s true power and innate abilities from a transpersonal perspective. Problems and issues we encounter are less problems needing fixing but rather are indications that greater potential within is unfolding; the intensity of symptoms relates to the intensity of the healing process.
